Pune: Governor to Attend Closing Ceremony of ‘Purple Jallosh’ Festival for Differently-Abled in Pimpri-Chinchwad
Pimpri Chinchwad, 18th January 2025: The three-day ‘Purple Jallosh’ festival, a grand celebration for differently-abled individuals, will conclude on 19th January 2025, with Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan as the chief guest. The closing ceremony will take place at 5:30 PM at the Auto Cluster Exhibition Center in Chinchwad, as announced by Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh.
The festival, organized by Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) and Divyang Bhavan Foundation, aims to empower and integrate differently-abled individuals into mainstream society. Notable attendees for tomorrow include Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation Muralidhar Mohol, Padmashri Muralikant Petkar, and several state ministers and dignitaries.
The final day will feature a Film Festival showcasing international, national, and state-level films created by differently-abled individuals, followed by interactive discussions. Winners of the ‘Solvathon’ competition held during the festival will be honoured by the Governor. Special recognition will be given to various individuals for their contributions to the field.
The three-day event, held from January 17-19, has included various programs aimed at showcasing the talents and abilities of differently-abled persons. PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh has urged citizens to attend the closing ceremony in large numbers to show their support for the initiative.
