Hadapsar, 11th February 2023: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has closed the Hadapsar flyover for two days due to repair works. The first one-way, Pune to Solapur route of this flyover is closed for repairs. PMC and the Traffic Department have appealed to the citizens to cooperate and use alternative routes.

The road towards Solapur and Saswad Road will be closed on February 11 and 12, 2023. A year ago, the citizens told the Municipal Corporation that the Hadapsar flyover was shaking, and the bridge was repaired at that time. However, after a year, the Municipal Corporation banned heavy vehicles from entering the flyover for two days to check the condition of the flyover and to carry out repair work.

Meanwhile, Pune City Traffic Branch has changed the traffic on Solapur Road and Saswad Road after PMC ordered the closure of the flyover towards Solapur for two days.

Vijay Kumar Magar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), instructed the following alternative route to be used.

The Traffic Branch has allowed vehicles to pass on the road below the bridge during the bridge repair period.

Srinivas Bonala, Special Project Head, PMC said, “Hadapsar flyover has been closed for 48 hours for load testing. The inspection will be carried out under the supervision of the committee and experts of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Limited (MSRDC) in Mumbai. After this, the second route will be inspected in the second phase. Meanwhile, local citizens should cooperate.”
