Pune: Haji Zakir Shaikh Gets Global Peace Ambassador Award

Pune, 8th June 2021: Haji Zakir Shaikh, a well-known social activist from Pune, has been awarded the Global Peace Ambassador Award. The award has been announced by Professor Dr Mansoor Yazdi, founder of Universal Peace Friendship & Brotherhood.

Shaikh is a former member of the Pune Municipal Corporation’s Tree Authority. He is chairman of e-waste and international environment committee of Indo Global chamber of Commerce and Agriculture; president of All India Quami Tanzeem (Western Maharashtra); president of State human rights organization (Western Maharashtra).
