Pune, October 15, 2020: With the heavy storms lashing the city on Wednesday and the possibility of the rains to continue on Thursday, Pune District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh has postponed the second phase of ‘my family, my responsibility’ campaign.

Officers and staff of all state health departments in the District have been ordered to stay at their respective headquarters and be vigilant about the problems caused by heavy rains.

The city is expected to continue showers till October 17. “All the district offices have been ordered to stay alert and take necessary precautions. People, especially living in low lying areas should be alerted and rescued”, stated the order from IMD.

Hundreds of COVID positive patients have been identified from the campaign. “We have started the second phase of the campaign from today itself, and is most likely to complete within the next ten days”, said Pune Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao, at a press conference on Wednesday evening.
