Pune: Husband Beats Wife, Breaks Her Tooth In Court For Refusing To Divorce Him
Shivajinagar, 1st December 2021: An FIR has been registered against a 34-year-old man from Viman Nagar for beating his wife and breaking her tooth in the family court premises for refusing to divorce him.
The incident took place outside the counselling centre at the family court in Shivajinagar on 27th November.
According to the police, the couple was living separately. The wife belongs to the Solapur district. A divorce case between the duo had been going on in the family court. On 27th November they were both called to the court for counselling.
At that time, the wife refused to give divorce to her husband. In response, the husband got angry with her refusal and punched his wife in the face after coming out of the centre. The wife has sustained injuries and a complaint has been filed to the police. The police are investigating the case.
