Pune: Impersonators Posing As Londoners Cheat Petrol Pump Employee Of Rs 35,000 In Mulshi
Pune, 28th June 2023: A shocking incident has come to light where three individuals, posing as Londoners, managed to deceive a petrol pump employee and swindle ₹35,000 from him.
Ashok Dadu Chavan reported the incident and an FIR has been registered against the culprits who were traveling in a white Honda Amaze car. The incident occurred at the Dhamale HPCL Petrol Pump located in Akole, Mulshi.
According to the police, the three accused orchestrated an elaborate scheme. They arrived at the HPCL Petrol Pump in Akole, Mulshi, driving a white Honda Amaze and pretended to refuel their vehicle. When the time came to settle the payment, the trio feigned confusion regarding Indian currency, claiming they were unfamiliar with the denominations. Seizing the opportunity, they displayed their foreign currency to the unsuspecting petrol pump employee, requesting him to demonstrate the Indian currency and explain the differentiation between various denominations. Amidst this exchange, the cunning scammers secretly extorted ₹35,000 from the employee.
Ashok Dadu Chavan promptly filed a complaint in connection with the incident. An FIR has been registered against the three individuals traveling in the white Honda Amaze car at the Dhamale HPCL Petrol Pump in Akole.
