Pune: ‘Introduction to Research Methodology’ Book Released to Guide New Researchers
Pune, 30th March 2026: The book release ceremony of “Introduction to Research Methodology: A Primer for Beginners”, authored by Dr. Ananya Bibave and Somesh Akolkar, was held with enthusiasm on Monday.
The book was officially released by Prof. Dr. Vilas Adhav, Director of the School of Education and Professor of Lifelong Learning and Extension, and Prof. Dr. Naresh Waghmare, Head of the Department of Law, both from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
The event highlighted the importance of research literacy among beginners and aimed to provide a strong foundational understanding of research methodologies. Faculty members, students, research scholars, and invited guests attended the ceremony and appreciated the authors’ contribution to academic resources.
The dignitaries lauded the efforts of Dr. Bibave and Akolkar, stating that the book would serve as a valuable guide for students and early-stage researchers across disciplines. The authors expressed their gratitude and shared insights into the motivation behind writing the book.
Prof. Dr. Vilas Adhav remarked that with the implementation of the National Education Policy, the boundaries between various academic faculties are increasingly blurring, making it essential to adopt a multidisciplinary approach not only in learning but also in research. He noted that the authors’ effort to incorporate a multidisciplinary perspective in a book on research methodology is a positive and timely step.
The ceremony concluded with encouragement for budding researchers to actively engage in scholarly pursuits and contribute meaningfully to their respective fields.
