Pune: IT Engineer Brutally Murdered Over Rs 3,000 Transaction, Lonikand Police Nabbed Accused Within 24 Hours

Wagholi, 14th May 2023: The police have succeeded in uncovering the murder of a young IT engineer, and it has come to light that he was murdered by slitting his throat due to a connection with the transaction of Rs 3,000. The Lonikand police solved the crime within 24 hours and arrested the accused.
The arrested youth has been identified as Bhagwan Kendra (23), a resident of Partapur, taluka Kalamb, District Dharashiv. His accomplice has escaped and is being searched for. In this incident, the murdered youth has been identified as Gaurav Suresh Uravi (35), a resident of Kharadi, and a native of Shivajinagar, Amravati. A case was registered at the Lonikand police station in this regard.
The body of a young man was found in a pool of blood at the foot of Malhari Hill on Lohegaon Bawdi road. On getting the information about this incident, Lonikand police rushed to the spot and inspected it. The youth’s bike was parked at the same place.
Gaurav was employed in an IT company in Kharadi. He was living with friends in a society in the Kharadi area. On Friday (12th May) around 10 pm, Gaurav went out telling his friends that he was going for dinner. However, he did not return until late at night.
When Senior Inspector Gajanan Pawar, Police Inspector (Crime) Maruti Patil, and their team started the investigation, it was learned that Bhagwan had committed the murder. The team then nabbed him from Partapur in Kalamba taluka.
During the investigation, it was revealed that Bhagwan drives a private taxi in Pune. Reportedly, Gaurav had booked Bhagwan’s vehicle twice and they got to know each other. He had taken Bhagwan’s number to book the car for future use.
Gaurav then traveled in his car. In that transaction, Gaurav had Rs 3,000 of Bhagwan. But, due to some reason, Gaurav was not able to pay the said amount. Getting angered by this, Bhagwan called Gaurav on Friday. The three then went to the foot of the hill. There, they argued and at that time Bhagwan killed him.
