Pune: Maharani Saibai’s Samadhi To Be Built At Rajgad Fort With Rs 30 Crore Allocated By Maharashtra Government

Pune, 3rd December 2023: The Maharashtra government has earmarked Rs 29.73 crore for the development of Maharani Saibai’s memorial situated at the base of Rajgad fort in Velhe taluka, Pune district.

Maharani Saibai, the wife of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the mother of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, is set to have her legacy preserved with this allocation.

Baramati MP and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Working President Supriya Sule took to X (formerly Twitter) to highlight her continuous efforts in advocating for the memorial’s development.

She expressed, “This allocation ensures the preservation of Maharani Saibai’s legacy. I envision a grand monument dedicated to Maharani Saibai to be erected at this site.”
