Pune: Maharashtra Home Minister Reviews Pending Proposals Of Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate

Mumbai/Pimpri Chinchwad, 20th October 2021: Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil today reviewed the construction of a new police station, availability of police manpower, allotment of plots for police officers and other pending proposals in the jurisdiction of the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. The Home Minister gave clear instructions that all these pending proposals should be sorted out immediately.

The Home Minister chaired a meeting at Mantralaya regarding various issues of Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Manukumar Srivastava, Director General of Police Sanjay Pandey, Additional Director General of Police Sanjay Verma, Principal Secretary Sanjay Saxena, Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Krishna Prakash, Pune District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh, Animal Husbandry Commissioner Sachindra Pratap Singh, Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) Commissioner Suhas Divase were present.

Home Minister Walse Patil said the state government’s top priority is to empower the police force and modernize the police station. In order to reduce the stress on the police administration due to IT parks, industrialization and the growing population in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, some new police stations have already been sanctioned in the district. The issue of building construction with the required manpower for these newly sanctioned police stations should be sorted out immediately.

He also directed that the proposal for permission at the government level should be immediately submitted to the Home Department by the Office of the Director General of Police after fulfilling the required criteria.

He also directed the District Collector of Pune to take immediate action regarding the proposed site for the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate headquarters and various police stations.
