Pune: Maharashtra State Board Launches Online Counseling Service for Class 10 Students Battling Post-Exam Depression

Pune, 2nd June 2023: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has introduced an online counseling service to assist students in coping with depression following the release of the class 10 exam results held in March 2023.

This initiative is specifically aimed at students from Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur, and Konkan Divisional Boards. Recognizing that some students may experience pressure and negative thoughts after receiving their results, this service aims to provide counseling and support.

To facilitate this service, the board has allocated dedicated mobile phone numbers, enabling counselors to be available from 8 am to 8 pm for eight days following the announcement of the examination results. Anuradha Oak, the secretary of the state board, stated that students will receive free counseling through their mobile phones.
