Pune: Young Girl Died In Accident With Truck In Wagholi
Wagholi, 2nd June 2023: A young bike rider lost her life in a devastating collision with a truck on the Wagholi-Kesnand road. The accident occurred on June 1 at approximately 1 pm. The Lonikand police have arrested the truck driver involved in the incident.
The victim, identified as Gauravi Jadhav (19 years old, hailing from Wagholi), lost her life in the accident. The arrested individual is Lakshman Chinnaswamy Ramalingam (38 years old, residing in Kolwadi, Haveli). Ashish Ramprasad (23 years old, from Wagholi) filed the complaint regarding the incident.
Ashish and his friend Gauravi were riding on a two-wheeler, traveling from the outskirts of Wagholi village on the afternoon of June 1, around 12:30 pm. It was at this time that Lakshman, driving a truck at a high speed, collided with them from behind. The impact caused Gauravi to fall and sustain severe injuries, tragically resulting in her death. Following the accident, a traffic jam ensued in the area. The authorities swiftly apprehended the driver of the borewell truck, Lakshman.
Sub-Inspector of Police Mahadev Linge is leading the investigation into the case.
