Pune : Major Fire At Baramati Garbage Depot, Garbage Sorting Machines Among Other Equipment Gutted Into Fire
Baramati 24th August 2023: A massive fire broke out at the Garbage depot in the Ambikanagar of Baramati on Thursday morning. The fire reported in the wee hours spread widely, engulfing the entire garbage sorting machinery and reducing it to ashes.
According to reports, machineries worth around Rs 80 lakh have been gutted into the fire. However, a detailed assessment will reveal more details on it, The municipal council authorities had implemented a sorting mechanism using these machines a few months ago.
Fire Fighting vehicles, the municipal council and sugar factories located nearby were immediately rushed to the spot and the officials have said that an investigation will be launched to find out the cause of fire. Senior officials have visited the spot to inspect the area.
