Pune : Strange Sound Sparks Earthquake Scare In Pune Village, No Official Record With Seismology Dept
Pune 24th August 2023: The citizens of Ghodegaon village and adjoining areas in Ambegaon Taluka have reportedly felt strange sound similar to earthquake in the wee hours on Wednesday. The citizens have reported to the administration that they felt odd sound similar to earthquake tremors at around 4:30 am on Wednesday and two times after that in a whole day.
The officials of the district administration acting immediately on the reports visited the village and interacted with the villagers. Tehsildar of Ambegaon Taluka Sanjay Nagtilak who visited the spot said “There were reports from villagers that they heard a strange sound from the surface of the earth. However, we checked details with the concerned department in IMD and there was no record of earthquakes in the area. We also visited the village and did not find any cracks on walls or anywhere that could point to the possibility of an earthquake. However, we have assured the villagers of all possible help and requested them to report any such thing further to the district administration.”
Minister Dilip Walse Patil who resides in Ambegaon also interacted with the villagers and assured them of all possible help. He also instructed the concerned officials of the district administration to interact with the villagers and prepare a detailed report on it.
