Pune: Mantra 29 Gold Coast Being Built On Grabbed Land Of Ex-servicemen, FIR Registered On Court Order
Dhanori, 12th September 2021: Based on the order of a judicial magistrate court, Pune city police have booked directors of Mantra Properties for allegedly grabbing land to build the ‘Mantra 29 Gold Coast’ project between Airport Road and Dhanori Road.
Vishal Khandagale (35) of Ramwadi, Nagar Road, has lodged the complaint. Accordingly, Vishrantwadi police station has registered a case against Rohit Ghanshyam Gupta (60), Mukesh Ghanshyam Gupta (55), Kishor Popatlal Gada (45), Nilesh Popatlal Gada (40), and other officials of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Land Records Department.
According to police, the incident took place between 2009 and May 2021. Some ex-servicemen own the land. Mantra Properties allegedly got the land measured in their names by filing false documents with the Land Records Department. The builder got the ‘Mantra 29 Gold Coast’ luxury apartments plan approved from PMC with the help of some officials.
As per the complaint, the accused have grabbed nine guntha land on plots 16, 20, 21 out of 15,100 sq ft on survey number 29. A special leave petition is pending in the Supreme Court. However, the builder got the land measured while the petition is pending and also got the buildings plan sanctioned from PMC.
A private complaint was filed in the court of judicial magistrate (first class), Khadki cantonment, who directed police to register a case and investigate. Police sub-inspector Satpute is further investigating the case.
Meanwhile, the district court has already granted interim bail to the persons accused in the FIR.
Mukesh Gada, Director, Gada Group – 29 Gold Coast, said that the land was purchased by paying to all claims in front of Justice J A Patil appointed by the High Court. There is no civil litigation pending on this plot against the company for the said project in the Supreme Court. He has a bogus sale deed that is not registered and to date, his name is not recorded in any of the government revenue records.
“Police have already recorded our statements earlier but as he was not satisfied he has approached the court. It is purely civil litigation that he is trying to make out a case by misleading courts with forged documents. In his sale deed, there are no boundaries marked or written which can locate his plots.
Entire survey no 29 is around 50 acres plus. In his sale deed, there is no hissa and no mention which can prove that he has been located in our plot which we have purchased from the original owners. His sale deed does not have signatures of our original owner nor they have attached the power of attorney of the person who has signed on the owner’s behalf.
Looking into all these aspects the district court of Pune has granted us add interim bail”, Gada said.
