Pune: Medical Student Robbed And Threatened, Robbers Make Nude Video
Baramati, 7th December 2022: A 21-year-old student studying at a Government Medical College in the Baramati area was threatened and robbed of Rs 15,000 by robbers.
After taking the student to a field, the robbers stripped him and made his video. Threatening to post the video on social media, they took the student to the ATM centre and withdrew an additional Rs 14,500 from his account.
Baramati taluka police have registered a case against the robbers in this case. The student has filed a complaint at Baramati Taluka Police Station.
The student is studying in the second year of the Government Medical College and is staying in the college hostel. On Sunday (December 4) evening, the student was on his way back to the hostel on his two-wheeler after shopping at Subhadra Mall in Baramati. At that time, he was stopped by the robbers at some distance. They threatened and took Rs 15,000 from his pocket.
After that, the other two accomplices of the robbers came there on a bike and asked the student to sit on the bike. The thieves then took him to the sugarcane field near Gord Hospital.
The student was beaten again. His thumb was fractured in the beating. After stripping the student, the accused filmed him on a mobile phone. The student was then taken to an ATM centre around 8.30 pm after threatening to post the video on social media. They took the debit card and password after threatening the student.
They withdrew Rs 14,500 from the bank account using his debit card and ran away.
On getting information about this incident, Sub Divisional Police Officer Ganesh Ingle visited the spot. Baramati taluka police are searching for the robbers. The police have seized the CCTV footage of the ATM centre area for investigation.
