Pune: Mephedrone Drugs Worth Rs 1 Lakh Seized, One Arrested
Pune 10th July 2023: The Anti Narcotics Cell of Pune City Police’s Crime Branch has arrested a person from Pune camp area and drugs worth Rs 1.02 lakh has been seized from his possession. The city police team have launched a special drive against drug peddlers in the city.
The patrolling team of crime branch had received inputs about a person selling drugs in the camp area. Accordingly, police laid a trap and the accused identified as Faisal Naeem Gafur Mankar (24), a resident of Kasba Peth was nabbed.
A case under sections 8 (c) and 22(b) of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) has been registered at Samarth Police Station. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
