Pune: Metro Trains To Run Till Midnight Instead Of 10 Pm From Tomorrow
Pune 21st Sept 2023: The Metro operations in the city will continue till midnight from tomorrow instead of 10 pm with an aim to provide connectivity to the commuters who visit city areas during the ganesh festival. The decision was taken considering a large number of visitors visiting the ganesh pandals during the festival.
The Metro officials had earlier announced the extension of service between September 22 and 27. According to officials, the trains will operate between 6 am and 12 am instead of 6 am to 10 pm during this period. Besides, the announcement was also made to extend the metro operation till 2 am on September 28 as a large number of people will be travelling the city area to take part in the immersion processions.
Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a meeting had asked the metro officials to extend the service during the ganesh festival.
