Pune : Mobile Phones Found Inside Yerawada Central Prison, Case Registered
Pune 4th Sept 2023: The incidents of mobile phones being used by the prisoners inside the Yerawada Central Prison seems to be on rise in the last few months as the jail officials have recovered three more mobile phones from the prisoners. A case in this regard has been registered at Yerawada Police Station.
According to the police complaint registered, three prisoners identified as Niranjan alias Nilesh Balu Shinde, Mahesh Raju Panchariya and one more person have been booked in the matter following a complaint lodged by the Yerawada jail official. According to jail officials, the mobile phones, batteries and sim cards were found hidden in a bag by Nilesh Shinde inside the prison.
This is not the first incident of mobile phone recovery from Yerawada Central Prison as several incidents have been reported in the past as well. The number of incidents have increased in the last few months and the prisoners are being booked in fresh cases every time the mobile phone is found.
