Pune: Molesting And Threatening To Defame Student For Refusing Proposal, Case Registered In Hinjewadi Police Station
Pune, 4th November 2022: A case of molestation has been registered against a young man. Reportedly, he proposed to a girl through social media, and the girl refused. Hence, the accused started abusing her and speaking obscenities. He molested the student girl. This incident took place on Tuesday (November 1) at Bavdhan. The accused has been identified as Sriram Balaji Jakwad (29), a resident of Bavdhan.
In this regard, the student filed a complaint at the Hinjewadi police station on Wednesday (November 2). According to the information given by the police, the accused proposed to the complainant through social media at around 6.30 pm on Tuesday. The complainant refused the proposal stating that she had come here to study. Because of this, the angry accused abused the complainant badly and molested her on social media.
Thereafter, the complainant told this matter to her elder brother. When the complainant’s brother questioned the accused, the accused also abused him and called the complainant. The accused again abused the complainant, questioning her about the need of informing all of this at her home.
The accused threatened that he will make her videos and defame her in the college, the complaint said.
