Pune: MPSC Releases General Merit List! Pramod Choughule Tops Again

Pune, 1st March 2023: The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has released the General Merit List for the State Services Main Examination 2021. In this exam, Pramod Choughule has secured the first rank in Maharashtra, Shubham Patil has secured the first rank in the open category, and Sonali Mhatre has secured the first rank in the female category.

Pramod Choughule has achieved success for the second time in a row.

Now candidates can register their preference for the post online from 3rd March to 10th March. The final result will be published based on the order of preference.

The published list is provisional. Depending on the various claims in the application, the merit order of the candidate may change, or the candidate may be disqualified due to changes in the claims of some candidates while verifying the documents before the final decision. It has been mentioned that the general merit list has been announced subject to the final judgment of the judicial cases filed in various courts.

One to 20 preference or no preference option has to be selected for all the 20 cadres made available through the online link. Candidates should submit their preference only for those posts they are interested in the selection from these cadres. Candidates are advised to select the ‘No Preference’ option for the posts in which candidates are not interested.

After the submission of preferences, the preferences can be downloaded and stored. Candidates submitting their preferences will be considered for selection of the posts in the same category for which they will submit their preferences. It is clarified that the request of the candidate to submit or change the order of preference of the posts will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Interviews of the candidates who qualified for the interview from the main examination were conducted from 27th December to 28th February. MPSC informed that the general merit list was declared within two hours after the interview.
