Pune: MSEDCL Employee Manhandled In Kondhwa For Disconnecting Electricity Supply Over Non-Payment Of Bills

Kondhwa, 30th November 2021: A criminal case has been registered at Kondhwa Police Station against an accused for obstructing government work by abusing and pushing an MSEDCL employee while taking action to cut off the power supply to the arrears.

Dashrath Ambadas Munde, an employee of Kondhwa branch office under the road department of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), along with his colleague was taking action to cut off the power supply to the arrears at Shah Heights, Bhagyodaynagar, Kondhwa on Thursday.

The accused Irshad Shah insulted and pushed the MSEDCL employees while they were in possession of electricity meters by permanently disconnecting the power supply of the two arrears. He also took back the seized meter.

A complaint was lodged at the Kondhwa police station against the accused for obstructing government work. Police have registered a case against the accused under sections 353, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and further investigation is underway.
