Pune, 26th December 2025: The nomination process for the upcoming Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) general elections is gaining momentum in terms of form sales, but the actual filing of nomination applications remains sluggish. On the fourth day of the process, Friday (December 26), as many as 2,664 nomination forms were sold across the city.

Earlier, a total of 6,437 nomination forms were sold over the first two days, December 23 and 24. The process was suspended on December 25 due to the Christmas holiday. With Friday’s sales, the cumulative number of nomination forms sold has now reached 9,101.

Despite the high volume of form sales, only eight candidates submitted their nomination applications on the fourth day, highlighting a significant gap between forms purchased and applications filed. According to official data, three applications were submitted at the Bibwewadi ward office, two at Warje–Karvenagar, and one each at Dhole-Patil Road, Nagar Road–Vadgaon Sheri, and Kothrud–Bavdhan ward offices.

The nomination process is being conducted through all 15 ward offices in the city, each equipped with a dedicated administrative setup. Officers of the rank of Sub-Divisional Officer and Assistant Municipal Commissioner have been appointed as Election Returning Officers to oversee the process.

Nomination forms are being accepted at the Yerwada–Kalas–Dhanori, Nagar Road–Vadgaon Sheri, Kothrud–Bavdhan, Aundh–Baner, Shivajinagar–Ghole Road, Dhole-Patil Road, Hadapsar–Mundhwa, Wanwadi–Ramtekdi, Bibwewadi, Bhavani Peth, Kasba–Vishrambaugwada, Warje–Karvenagar, Sinhagad Road, Dhankawadi–Sahakarnagar, and Kondhwa–Yewalewadi ward offices.
