Pune Municipal Elections: BJP Candidate Kunal Tilak Flags Traffic, Parking Issues in Sadashiv Peth
Sadashiv Peth, 8th January 2026: As part of the ongoing door-to-door campaign ahead of the municipal elections, BJP’s official candidate from Ward 25-D, Kunal Shailesh Tilak, on Thursday visited the Sadashiv Peth area to interact directly with residents and gather feedback on local civic issues.
During the outreach, residents flagged multiple concerns affecting daily life in the historic neighbourhood, including rising traffic congestion, lack of organised parking spaces, poor maintenance of ageing residential structures, and problems caused by unregulated street vending. Locals said these issues have increasingly affected mobility, safety, and overall neighbourhood management.
Tilak assured residents that their feedback would be prioritised while planning ward-level interventions. Emphasising the need for balanced development, he said heritage areas like Sadashiv Peth require sensitive planning that protects their character while addressing modern civic challenges. Traffic management and area-specific solutions, he added, would remain key focus areas.
Residents welcomed the door-to-door interaction, stating that such direct engagement helps candidates better understand ground-level problems and improves the chances of effective implementation once elected.
