Pune: ‘My Home India’ Celebrated Diwali In Harmony With Transgender Community; Diwali Snacks Distributed To More Than 300 Transgenders

Pune, 1st November 2022: The Pune branch of ‘My Home India’ celebrated Diwali with the members of transgender community. On this occasion, a message was given to behave in harmony and equality with the transgender community of the society.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Sunil Deodhar, National Secretary, of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), said that there is a mixed feelings of contempt, fear, and disrespect towards transgenders in society. But they are also human and they do have feelings. They should get the same respect as other elements in society.

 

On this occasion, Panna Didi, a social worker of the transgender community from Pune, welcomed Sunil Deodhar and expressed happiness for taking a good initiative on this occasion. On this occasion, Diwali snacks and gifts were distributed to more than 300 transgender community members.

 

Shravan Jha of ‘My Home India’, Seema Limaye, Isha Limaye, Abhay Thite, and Maheshrao Manekar from RS Sangh were present on this occasion.

 

The Diwali program was organized by ‘My Home India’. On this occasion, Deodhar felicitated the exemplary mothers of the settlement in Bopodi Gaonthan and celebrated Diwali snacks and Bhaubij with a family from the settlement.

 

Also, in the program at Bavdhan, a Diwali Snacks program was organized with students from North East India and North East Indian families based in Pune. Members of AMAND, a citizen’s organization based in Pune, Manipur, participated in this occasion.
