The meeting took place at Jai Mangal Karyalaya in Manjri Budruk. All the project affected farmers were present along with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) state vice president Suresh Ghule. Deputy Commissioner (land acquisition) Rohini Aakhade, Project Joint Manager Sunil Havaldar, and Assistant Manager Shekhar Bhosale were also present at the meeting.

The railway track will be cutting through Manjri Budruk village and the land acquisition for that will start soon. Also, some small farmers will have to let go of their homes as well. Thus, farmers demand that proper compensation is a must.

They demanded that compensation for their farms should be five times the market rate and demand two and half times for their homes. If all our demands are met then we will not have any issues with the project, said NCP state vice president Suresh Ghule.

Meanwhile, the government officials said that in accordance with the central and state government policies, there would be proper compensation for farmers.
