Pune: NCP demands action against RSS-linked scientist accused of spying for Pakistan
Pune, 9th May 2023: The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested Pradeep Kurulkar (59), a senior scientist of the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), on charges of sharing information with Pakistan’s intelligence operatives.
The incident has caused a stir in the country, and the NCP’s Pune City President, Prashant Jagtap, led a protest demanding strict action against Kurulkar.
Jagtap criticized the RSS for allegedly teaching Desh Prem (love for country) but having someone like Kurulkar, who had also worked for the organization in various positions, providing information to Pakistan. He demanded that the central government take strict action against Kurulkar.
Kurulkar had worked in DRDO as a director before his arrest. The charges against him have raised questions about the security measures and protocols followed in DRDO.
