Pune: Nine players take joint lead at 3rd Maharashtra International Open Grandmaster Chess Tournament

Pune, 26th April 2025: The competition in the tournament started to heat up with nine players went into the lead at the 3rd Maharashtra International Open Grandmaster Chess Tournament organized by Maharashtra Chess Association under the auspices of the All India Chess Federation (AICF) and the International Chess Federation (FIDE) and played at Amanora Mall, Pune.
Petrosyan Manuel of Armenia , Boris Savchenko of Russia, Tornike Sanikidze and Levan Pantsulaia both of Georgia , Nitish Belurkar of Goa , Neelash Saha , Abhijeet Gupta , Deep Sengupta of PSPB and Ayush Sharma of Madhya Pradesh finished with six points apiece after the end of the eighth round
