Pune: No Water Supply in PCMC Limits on April 28 Evening As Civic Body to Carry Out Maintenance Works
Pimpri Chinchwad, 21st April 2026: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has announced that the evening water supply across all parts of the city will remain suspended on Tuesday, April 28, due to civil and electrical maintenance works at the Nigdi Water Purification Centre.
The civic body said the morning water supply on Wednesday, April 29, is also likely to be irregular and at low pressure. PCMC provides alternate day water to residents in its jurisdiction.
The civic officials said that periodic maintenance and repair of the water supply system is essential to avoid disruptions in the city’s distribution network. As part of the scheduled works, civil and electrical repair activities will be undertaken at Sector 23 and other regional-level facilities under the water supply department.
For this purpose, water supply from the Nigdi Water Purification Centre will be temporarily halted on April 28, affecting the evening supply across the city.
Chief Engineer Pramod Ombase appealed to citizens to store adequate water in advance and use the available water judiciously and in a planned manner.
He said the municipal administration will make efforts to complete all maintenance works within the stipulated time and restore normal water supply at the earliest.
