Mohammadwadi, 28th February 2022:  Enthusiastic and eager volunteers, youngsters, adults, and members of the Nyati County Residents Forum (NCRF) together contributed in an effort to make their neighborhood and in turn the city clean and beautiful, backing the lines of, ‘Swachh Pune, Sundar Pune’ at Nyati Estate road on Sunday.

The wall along the Nyati Estate road had been prey to litter, garbage and also looked dull and dirty, to resolve this the NCRF came up with the initiative of the ‘Wall Art Project’. This project has been in the works for the past two weeks and has been unleashing creative and artistic streaks of the volunteers to paint the walls with beautiful artwork and positive messages.

This great initiative was brought to life by the NCRF with continuous efforts and hard work from over 60-70 volunteers who joined hands from different societies and with the support of corporator Pramod Nana Bhangire who was also present for the formal unveiling of the wall art project. This project was based on the theme, ‘Life is Beautiful’ and many unique designs and captivating paintings were created with the aim of spreading meaningful messages.

Maj. Ramkrishna, an old resident and member of NCRF said, ”People of all ages have come together to clean and paint the neighbourhood and I hope this sends a powerful message to others to also keep their neighbourhood clean and colourful.”

All the toddlers and kids of up to 10 years of age were also invited to add their palm prints on the walls along with Nyati County. The volunteers were all given certificates of appreciation and refreshments and were encouraged to keep their enthusiasm and zeal always soaring for more such initiatives to commence.

Corporator Nana Bhangire said that ”All the artists, volunteers, and members have done a great job by making outstanding and unique paintings and artworks and are truly setting the future for a clean and beautiful Pune city.”

The Nyati estate road was delightfully painted and the blank canvases of dirty and dull walls were turned into fascinating artworks giving meaningful and positive messages.

A volunteer, Namra Shaikh said, ”It is a good step towards encouraging people to make their surroundings and their neighborhood pretty and clean and proved to be a success.”
