Pune: On Way To Cricket Club, 18-Year-Old Youth Killed In Accident In Kharadi
Kharadi, 11th August 2021: A boy was killed in an accident while his brother sustained injuries after a speeding Mercedes car hit the two-wheeler they were riding. Their uncle was going to drop them at the cricket club in Kharadi.
The incident took place around 3.30 pm on Tuesday near Kharadi Gaothan Chowk. The deceased has been identified as Arya Vinod Galande (18). The injured have been identified as Vedanta Vinod Galande (11). Their uncle Bhaskar Galande (41) has lodged a complaint at Chandannagar Police Station.
According to police, Bhaskar Galande was riding his two-wheeler to drop Arya and Vedanta at the cricket club. A Mercedes car hit their bike following which Arya and Vedanta were seriously injured when they fell down. They were rushed to a nearby private hospital where Arya was declared dead on arrival.
Police have arrested Rohit Anil Dalvi (22), a garage owner from Mundhwa, who was driving the car to test after repair. Police have charged him for offences under sections 279 (rash driving), 304A (causing death due to negligence), 337 (rash act to endanger human life) of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the Motor Vehicle Act.
