Pune: One lakh shiva devotees perform Maharudrabhishek on 11th Sept for global peace and a terrorism-free world

Pune, 29th August 2022: Marking Swami Vivekananda’s world-famous speech spreading the message of peace and humanity in the Chicago’s World parliament of religion on 11th September 1893, Vayam in association with Vishwa Hindu Parishad has organized a program to offer Maharudrabhishek by 100K (One lakh) shiva devotees globaly. Rudrabhishek to take place at the Omkareshwar temple, Pune, also at the same time, informed Gaurav Tripathi, Founder of Vayam in a press conference.

Western Maharashtra Math Mandir Samiti Sampark Pramukh Manohar Oak, Chief Trustee of Omkareshwar Temple Shri Dhanottam Lonkar, Executive President of Bharatmata Mahila Mandal Trust Priyanka Shendge-Shinde were present at the press conference.

Gaurav Tripathi Said, “Swami Vivekananda spread the message of tolerance, global peace, and the terror-free world at the world religious parliament in 1893. We feel that this day should be celebrated as world peace day. With this motive, we are planning to organize a Maharudrabhishek by 1 lakh Shiva devotees to spread the message of world peace. This program conducted physically and virtually will definitely prove a world record.”

“With the blessings of Lord Shiva, rudrabhishek will take place in the Kashi Vishwanath temple at Varanasi. Almost every Shiva temple along with 12 Jyotirlingas in Maharashtra will observe this ritual. Those who want to enroll in this program can join through www.harharmahadeva.com by paying an amount of Rs. 108. Devotees paying an amount of Rs. 1008 will get home delivery of the prasadam of this rudrabhishek.” Said Tripathi.

Remembering the 9/11 attack,  Manohar Oak said, “It was the worst terror attack humanity had ever experienced. Thousands of people lost their lives. Swami Vivekananda, on the same date, expressed concern about world peace decades ago. Hence we strongly advocate celebrating this day as ‘World Peace Day.” The idea of Maharudrabhishek came from Swami Vigyananand ji maharaj, Jt General Secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, he added.

Lonkar expressed pleasure in this program being organized in the Omkareshwar Temple in Pune. He also appealed to the Punekars to participate in this program spontaneously. Priyanka Shendge promised to provide all kinds of support for this program as it is very important for the religious and spiritual good of mankind.
