Pune: Onlookers Catch Pharmacist Trying To Steal Gold Earrings To Pay Back Debt

Pune, 19th January 2023: After racking up massive debt, a pharmacist working for a private company attempted to steal a woman’s gold earrings to pay back lenders who had harassed him. But onlookers caught him, ending his brief run-in with the cops.

Ganesh Kadam, a 23-year-old from Phursungi, was the suspect, according to the Bharati Vidyapeeth police. On Monday around 5:15 pm, Kadam attempted to steal the gold earrings of a 38-year-old woman at Santoshnagar in the Katraj neighbourhood. He was apprehended by bystanders and turned over to the police.

Kadam, the first-time offender, was employed by a private company in Hadapsar as a pharmacist, according to police investigations. He incurred debts after taking multiple loans from various individuals.
