Pune: Orchids The International School educates students on Astronomy through a three-day Space Camp
Pune, 8th November 2023: With the aim to spark curiosity and a sense of wonder about the universe among young minds, Orchids International School, one of India’s leading K12 school chains, hosted an exciting Space Camp at Nature Hunt Campsite in Khopoli from November 6th to 8th. The students were able to gaze at the celestial bodies through a reflecting telescope, immersing themselves in the practical experience for their Astronomy class within the enjoyable settings of a fun-filled space camp.
During this memorable camp, under the shimmering starlit sky, students had the chance to peer at celestial bodies through a reflecting telescope. The stargazing session allowed students to observe captivating celestial objects such as Saturn with its Moon Titan, Jupiter with its four largest moons, the Orion Nebula, Cassiopeia, and Venus. Additionally, students received instruction on the operation of telescopes, planetary stars, and more during the Constellation session. More than 750+ students from various branches, including Nigdi, Chinchwad, Sus Rd, Hinjewadi, Tathawade, Kharadi, Undri, Ambegaon, and Manjiri, participated in this engaging field trip, which extended their learning beyond the classroom walls.
