Pune: Over 35 People Come Forward To File Complaint Against Amit Lunkad, His Company Now Offers Refund

Pune, 24th June 2021: Builder Amit Lunkad’s difficulties have increased. After the Pune City Police arrested him for financial fraud, 35 people have lodged a complaint against him.

He had promised an attractive Return on Investment (ROI) and later delayed the payments to the investors. He was arrested after Sanjay Vilas Honrao (48) of Ambegaon, registered an FIR with the Yerawada police station.

At first, four complaints had come to the crime branch and total financial fraud was to the tune of Rs 76 lakhs. The case has been transferred to the Economic Offence Wing (EOW) now and it is learnt that more than 12 new complaints are filed against Lunkad. The fraud amount has reached Rs 12 crores now.

However, an investigation of the first four FIRs will be done by the anti-extortion cell while the remaining complaints have been transferred to the Economic Offences Wing.

Meanwhile, it has come to attention that the construction company is now approaching the investors to keep them from going to the police. The company is offering some amount back to them and requesting to hold off for a couple of months to get the remaining amount.
