Pune: Over Five Lakh Devotees Flock To Ekvira Devi Temple In Navratri Festival

Lonavala, 24th October 2023: The Ekvira Devi shrine in Vehargaon-Karla witnessed an overwhelming influx of more than five lakh devoted pilgrims during the auspicious occasion of the Navratri festival. The entire event was marked by fervent devotion, and the traditional Homhavan was conducted with deep reverence.

The worshipping ceremony of Ekvira Devi was conducted by Revenue Officer Deepak Dhanawade and Deputy Sarpanch Kajal Padwal. Alongside, the temple trustees, including Navnath Deshmukh, Vikas Padwal, Priest Sanjay Govilkar, Gurav representative Santosh Deshmukh, Chandrakant Deokar, Moreshwar Padwal, Ganesh Deshmukh, and Prakash Porwal, offered their heartfelt worship.

For the past two days, the doors of the Ekvira Devi temple remained open 24 hours a day, allowing devotees to visit and pay their respects. However, the sheer number of devotees in attendance led to long queues for darshan, beginning as early as Monday night. Even in the early morning hours, the temple premises were teeming with devotees who had come to partake in the Navratri festivities. Over the course of the Navratri period, more than five lakh faithful devotees have gathered to seek blessings from the divine Goddess.
