Pimpri Chinchwad, 22nd May 2024: On Tuesday, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) demolished 17 unauthorized structures, including several under-construction houses, located along the blue line of the Indrayani River in the Borhadewadi area of Moshi.

Prior to the demolition, the PCMC had issued notices to the property owners, directing them to remove the illegal structures themselves. “Our teams identified the unauthorized structures and followed all procedures to demolish them,” stated a senior PCMC officer.

The demolition included nine two-storeyed buildings, four under-construction buildings, and four tinshade structures, collectively covering approximately 18,000 square feet.

Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh emphasized the importance of obtaining proper construction permissions to avoid such actions. “Citizens must secure proper permissions for construction and refrain from erecting unauthorized buildings. The municipal corporation will continue its drive against illegal structures,” Singh said.
