Pune: PCMC Launches “Toiletseva” App for Convenient Access to Public Toilets

Pimpri, 24th June 2023: In its continuous efforts to enhance citizen services, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has launched the “Toiletseva” app. This app aims to provide easy access to public toilets not only for the residents of Pimpri Chinchwad but also for passengers, students, professionals, and others who come to the city.

Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh announced that the app would enable users to find information about the availability of toilets in Chinchwad City with just one click.

Commissioner Shekhar Singh inaugurated the user-friendly ‘Toiletseva’ app, which provides information about the locations and amenities of 238 public toilets in the city. Speaking at the launch event held in the Municipal Corporation’s main administrative building in Pimpri, Commissioner Singh addressed the audience.

Present at the event were Additional Commissioner Jitendra Wagh, Assistant Commissioner of the Health Department Yashwant Dange, Amol Bhinge – the developer of the toilet service app – along with his colleagues Pritam Chopra, Sonali Chopra, Field Officer Suchita Pansare, Amit Pandit, Anna Bodde, Kiran More, Shital Wakade, Health Executive Officer Ganesh Deshpande, Swachh Bharat Coordinator Sonam Deshmukh, Public Relations Officer Prafulla Puranik, Assistant Health Officer M. M. Shinde, Balasaheb Kamble, Shantaram Mane, Tanaji Date, Raju Sable, Rajesh Bhat, and Vasant Sarode.

Amol Bhinge, an IT expert, has been responsible for identifying the locations of public toilets in the city and monitoring their condition after use, registering complaints, and more. The ‘Toiletseva’ app has been designed to provide information about the availability and amenities of public toilets in the city. Additionally, users can register complaints regarding the facilities and conditions of the toilets, which will be addressed by the health department.

The free ‘Toiletseva’ app allows citizens to easily locate toilets, access information about their facilities, such as wash basins, water availability, liquid soap or sanitizer, dustbins, lights, and sanitary napkins for women. The app also facilitates various services, including information and responses related to the toilet facilities. Commissioner Shekhar Singh emphasized that citizens can use the app to provide feedback on the cleanliness and facilities of municipal or private toilets listed, as well as rate their experiences.

Commissioner Shekhar Singh urged the citizens of Pimpri Chinchwad city to make use of the “Toiletseva” app and spread awareness about this convenient facility among their neighbors and relatives. He encouraged them to share the barcode or link and actively participate in the city’s health affairs.

The program was introduced by Assistant Commissioner of the Health Department Yashwant Dange and moderated by Public Relations Officer Prafulla Puranik. Additional Commissioner Jitendra Wagh delivered the vote of thanks.
