Pune: PCMC Municipal Commissioner Orders Stalled Projects To Be Completed In 2023

Pimpri-Chinchwad, 2nd January 2023: The Municipal Corporation is committed to launching several citizen amenities in the new year. The municipality aims to build good-quality roads. Pimpri-Chinchwad’s Municipal Commissioner and Administrator, Shekhar Singh, has decided to finish the partial, stalled works in 2023.

According to Commissioner Singh, the Municipal Corporation has established the following goals:

The construction of the BRTS road from Bhakti-Shakti to Mukai Chowk
The construction of a bridge at Bopkhel
The construction of a bridge at Pimpri Dairy Farm
Complete the missing link (the leftover stages) in Spine Road
Emphasis on a city beautification
Drive to promote cleanliness
Implement some new schemes and projects and increase the scope of ongoing schemes and projects.
Navi Disha and the Zero Waste Slum Project to commence mechanised machines to clean the main roads
Moshi biomining project as well as a gas generation project from hotel waste
Commissioning a 14 MW capacity project under waste to energy project, with an emphasis on improving education quality through the campaign “Education Jallowash”
Address traffic issues and increase parking facilities
Establishing Jijau clinics to improve the infrastructure of citizens’ health facilities
Establishing the Masulkar Eye Hospital
Establishment of dental departments in every hospital
The Chikhli water treatment plant will be launched and an additional 100 MLD of water will be supplied to the city to address the city’s water supply issue.
Establishing YCM Nursing College and providing poor citizens residents with housing through the PMAY program
To start a state of art central library and fully equipped UPSC MPSC guidance centre in collaboration with Yashada
A tender has been delivered for the beautification of the old Pune Mumbai expressway in the city as well as the completion of the urban scaping project
Mula river improvement works in the first phase of the river improvement project.

In addition, the state government and the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) will complete the Pavana and Indrayani river improvement projects, complete the city’s Smart City projects, and CCTV systems in the city will be started with full capacity in terms of security.
