Ravet, 24th January 2025: A shocking incident of sexual assault occurred in Pimpri Chinchwad while three individuals were playing a game of truth and dare. All three accused were acquainted with the 17-year-old victim via Instagram. The incident unfolded on 21st January, under the jurisdiction of the Ravet Police Station within the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate (PCPC).

The Ravet Police have arrested Ayush Anand Bhoite (20, resident of Chinchwad), Sushil Balandra Thakur (22, resident of Dehu Road), and Ritik Sanjay Singh (25, resident of Dehu Road). The victim is a girl from the Rajgurunagar area of Khed Taluka in Pune District, who is currently preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and resides in the Sant Tukaram Nagar area of Pimpri.

Five years ago, she met a reel star from the Kondhwa area of Pune through Instagram. Although they had never met in person, they connected virtually. The reel star informed her own mother that she was visiting a friend’s (victim) hostel in Sant Tukaram Nagar for a shoot and would leave the next day. After visiting the victim, she went to Ravet to meet Bhoite, where both became intoxicated.

The victim called her friend back to check on her, but when she did not receive a response after multiple attempts, Bhoite eventually answered the phone. He claimed that the reel star was sleeping and invited the victim to join them for a party. Accused Ritik and Sanjay were also present at this gathering. When the victim arrived in Ravet, she discovered that both the reel star and Bhoite were already drunk. They began drinking again and started playing truth and dare. During the game, Bhoite attempted to get physically closer to the reel star but was unsuccessful. He then turned his attention to the victim, taking her to the bathroom where he sexually assaulted her.

While under the influence of alcohol, the victim managed to call a cousin before the incident. The cousin informed her parents about the situation, prompting them to rush to Pimpri Chinchwad in the morning. After speaking with their daughter about what had transpired, they went directly to the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate (PCPC) to report the incident. Ironically, the victim did not know either Bhoite’s full name or his address, nor did she have any information about the other accused individuals. A case has been registered at Ravet Police Station, and Senior Police Inspector Nitin Phatangare is currently investigating the matter further.
