Pune: Pimpri Chinchwad Police Crack Down on Illegal LPG Cylinder Storage and Black Marketing

Wakad, 13th June 2023: A 43-year-old individual, Dinesh Oswal, has been booked by the Pimpri Chinchwad Police for his alleged involvement in illegally storing and selling LPG cylinders at inflated prices in the market.

Oswal, who operates a general store in the Thergaon area, has been accused of engaging in the black marketing of LPG cylinders.

During the investigation, officials confiscated a total of 37 domestic LPG cylinders from Bharat Gas and 28 domestic LPG cylinders from Hindustan Petroleum, with an estimated value of Rs 76,200.

The Wakad police station has registered a case against Oswal under sections 285 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), as well as sections 3 and 7 of the Essential Commodities Act 1955, and section 5 of the Explosive Substances Act 1908.
