Pimpri Chinchwad, 18th September 2023: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Police have made elaborate arrangements to ensure the safety and security of the city during the upcoming Ganeshotsav festival. Over 3000 police personnel have been deployed, including specialized teams and surveillance vans.

In addition to the regular police force, the Police Commissionerate will also have the support of four police inspectors, 20 assistant inspectors/sub-inspectors, 400 enforcers, 600 home guards, two squads of SRPF (State Reserve Police Force), and two squads of BDDS (Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad).

The police have also taken proactive measures against potential wrongdoers and issued guidelines to the mandals regarding crowd management, noise levels, and security protocols. Each zone has also appointed five representatives to collaborate with the police, and assistance will also be sought from Gram Rakshak Dal and Peace Committees.

Permission has been granted for the use of loudspeakers until midnight for five specific days: September 23, 24, 26, 27, and 28. However, on the seventh day when immersion ceremonies take place in many areas, sound recorders will not be allowed. Consequently, the police have urged organizers to switch off sound systems by 10 p.m. on that day.
