Kondhwa, 12th September 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Friday carried out a demolition drive against unauthorized constructions in Kondhwa Khurd, bringing down nearly 15,000 square feet of reinforced cement concrete (RCC) structures. The action targeted two buildings—one five-storey and one four-storey—located at Shivneri Nagar, Gali No. 1.

The demolition was executed with the help of 10 labourers, 5 policemen, 1 JCB machine, 4 breakers, 2 gas cutters, 6 junior engineers, and 3 deputy engineers. Following the drive, PMC declared the remaining structure unsafe and appealed to citizens not to use it or purchase flats in such constructions.

This action is part of PMC’s ongoing crackdown on illegal structures across the city. Similar demolitions have recently been conducted in Aundh, Baner, Vadgaon Sheri, and Hadapsar. Civic officials have once again cautioned citizens against investing in projects built without proper permissions, warning that such properties could face demolition, causing financial and safety risks.
