Pune: PMC Demolishes 4 Unauthorised Buildings In Dhayari

Pune, 16th June 2022: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) today demolished unauthorized construction of about 50,000 square feet in Dhayari. For the first time in the area, four six-storey buildings were demolished.

At this time, the citizens and the concerned builders strongly protested. However, this action was taken despite the opposition.

The action was taken by a team of Deputy Engineer Rahul Tikhe, Building Inspector Sandesh Patil, Junior Engineer Dhananjay Khole, Nishikant Chafekar, Hemant Kolekar, Kiran Ahirrao etc. under the guidance of City Engineer Prashant Waghmare, Superintendent Engineer Yuvraj Deshmukh and Executive Engineer Rahul Salunke with support from Sinhgad road police station staff.

“The operation was carried out with the help of a jaw cutter machine, a JCB and fifteen employees. The development plan of the villages included in the PMC is yet to be prepared. Unauthorized constructions are hampering the preparation of this development plan. However, citizens should not do any unauthorized construction”, appealed Executive Engineer Rahul Salunke.
