Pune: PMC Installs CCTV Cameras At 100 Spots To Keep Watch On Flood Water

Pune, 28 July 2021: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to install CCTV cameras at 100 spots in the city which get flooded during the rainy season. These cameras will be installed after the disaster management team conducts a survey in the city.

 

 

Already, 40 cameras have been installed in various parts of the city under Smart city development project. The cameras will keep an eye on the water levels and whether there is any stagnation of water.

 

 

“We will be installing more such 100 cameras in the city”, said additional municipal commissioner Kunal Khemnar.

 

He added that the ward offices have been directed to ensure the maintenance of the cameras.
