Pune: PMC Launches Single-Window Online Platform for Ganeshotsav 2026 Mandal Permissions
Pune, 9th September 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has introduced a single-window online permission platform for public Ganeshotsav mandals ahead of Ganeshotsav 2026, aimed at making the permission process simpler, faster and more streamlined.
Through the new platform, Ganesh mandals can apply for various permissions through one registration and a single application, instead of approaching multiple departments separately.
The platform brings together permission requirements from five departments:
Pune Municipal Corporation – Mandap Permission
Pune Police – Police Questionnaire
Pune Traffic Police – Procession and Traffic Permission
MSEDCL – Temporary Electricity Permission
PMC Encroachment Department – Temporary Occupation Permission
According to the information shared by the civic body, details submitted to the PMC will be carried forward to the respective sections, reducing the need for mandals to provide the same information repeatedly. Applicants can also save each section, reopen and update the information before final submission.
The system is designed to provide mandals with one registration, one application and one status tracker, allowing them to follow the progress of their permission requests through a unified platform.
The PMC has urged public Ganeshotsav mandals to use the online system for obtaining permissions for the upcoming festival. A QR code shared by the civic body provides access to the online platform.
The initiative is expected to reduce paperwork and the need for repeated visits to different government offices while making the permission process more transparent and convenient for Ganeshotsav organisers.
