Pune: PMC Staff Suffers Burn Injuries Due To Electrocution While Inspecting Immersion Tanks For Ganesh Festival, Admitted To Hospital
Pune 20th Sept 2023: In a tragic incident reported in Karvenagar earlier today, an employee of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) suffered burn injuries after he was electrocuted while inspecting the immersion tanks for the Ganesh festival. According to officials, the victim has suffered burn injuries on both of his legs and he has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
The incident took place near Happy Colony in Karvenagar area today morning. “This incident occurred today morning. An accident has taken place on Kothrud to NCL 132 KV high-voltage power transmission lines of the Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company. The Electricity Inspector Department of the state government has been informed about the incident. According to them, the Electricity Inspectors have visited the incident site for inspection. The details of how this electrical accident occurred will be revealed in their report” said an official from the state electricity department.
