Pune: PMC To Restart 800 Beds Jumbo Covid Hospital At Shivajinagar

Pune, 6th January 2022: As the number of patients is increasing in the city, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to restart the 800 bedded Jumbo Covid Hospital at College of Engineering Pune (COEP) ground in Shivajinagar. The patients will be admitted soon, informed Mayor Murlidhar Mohol.

The Covid hospital is equipped with 800 various types of beds. Primarily, 200 beds in the general ward will be made available to the citizens. After that other beds will be made available according to demand.

The civic body is also considering hiring private doctors for the treatment and it also planned to provide oxygen supply if the number of cases increased in the hospital.

To guide the citizens about the availability of beds in Jumbo Covid Hospital, a call centre will be set up soon by the PMC.
