Pune: PMC Water Supply Shutdown Postponed Due to Tanker Drivers’ Strike, Technical Issues
Pune, 15th April 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has postponed the scheduled water supply shutdown that was planned for Thursday, April 16, 2026, citing an ongoing tanker drivers’ strike and certain technical reasons.
In an official communication, the Water Supply Department of PMC stated that the proposed closure has been deferred until further notice. The revised date for the shutdown will be announced soon.
Meanwhile, authorities have assured residents that the water supply across Pune city will continue as usual and remain uninterrupted for the time being.
The announcement was issued by the Chief Engineer of the Water Supply Department, Pune Municipal Corporation.
