Pune: PMPML Extends Daily And Monthly Service To PMRDA Region
Pune 2nd Sept 2023: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has announced to start daily and monthly pass for PMRDA region to further extend the facility to rural areas beyond the municipal corporation limits. The pass system was only available for Pune Municipal Corporation and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation limits till now.
The officials said that the daily pass to experience unlimited travel in the PMRDA region will be available at a cost of Rs 120 while the monthly pass will be available at Rs 2,700. The decision to extend the pass system to PMRDA region was taken in an executive committee meeting of the PMPML.
Currently, the PMPML charges Rs 40 for unlimited travel in a day in the jurisdiction of Pune Municipal Corporation while for monthly pass Rs 900 are charged. Similarly, to travel in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad both municipal corporation limits the commuters have to pay Rs 50 for a daily pass and Rs 1,200 for a monthly pass. The officials have said that these passes will also continue along with the newly introduced pass for the PMRDA region.
The commuters can get these passes from PMPML’s Pass centers by submitting a copy of their ID proof and a passport photo to get an identity card of PMPML. The pass service for PMRDA region will start for commuters at all pass centers of PMPML from September 4, said officials.
